  1. Nissl bodies/ Nissl granules/ Tigroid bodies found in the perikaryon are essentially rough endoplasmic reticulum with rosettes of free ribosomes. Students should ask why these are basophilic in nature.

    Physiology is filled with wonders. Every little thing has a big story to tell.
